Bahia-Salvador-Prai de Jauá-Rua Ceará 8
The city of Salvador is a lively port city and has a historic colonial centre with a fascinating slave trade past that gives the city and á state its wonderful afro culture and cuisine. The whole pace of life here in Northern Brazil is slower than you will find in the South of Brazil. Bahia has a wealth of natural attractions and some of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, the state itself is larger than the area of France.
North but close to Salvador International Airport on the beautiful coast line of Bahia is a small seaside town of Jauá. This part of Brazil has practically all year round sunshine with very little rain, temperatures staying constant between 19c and 35c, winter months of July, August and September being between 19c minimum and 25c maximum whilst the summer months of December, January and February are closer to 24c minimum to 35c maximum.
Jauá is a fishing village with the Atlantic Ocean to its front giving long white beaches that have a natural rock breakwater allowing stretches of beach that always have calm and shallow water for bathing and children to play, although a short walk can take you to areas good for surfing. The beaches are popular with Brazilians every weekend but quiet sections can always be found to soak up the sun without the bustle of the holiday makers.
